Game Night
Zion Press-- Saturday night, game night. Maddy lived for game nights! The social aspect, the snacks, the competition. All of it, and this night she expected to beat all. This was it. Maddy was down to the wire. This last move would make or break her game. She looked at her game piece, set right where she needed it, glared at her opponent’s piece, so close to hers and drew in her breath. Now. The time was now to draw a card. Yes! It was a red! Maddy moved her marker, threw the rests of the cards in the air in jubilation, and began her victory dance. It had been a hard game, one in which her opponent had played well, but Maddy persisted. Skill, luck, practice. It had all come down to this.
Maddy is the undisputed champion of Candyland.
